A friend sent me this photo of Queen Elizabeth I in bloom the other day and I am obsessed! I have done mannequin floral/holiday arrangements before but this event created by Fleurs de Ville is out of this world. The event in 2019 was called Covent Garden in Bloom. Queen Elizabeth I as you've never seen her before designed in collaboration with the National Portrait Gallery and Amie Bone Flowers produced this botanical incarnation of the famous Ditchley portrait.
oil on canvas, circa 1592
95 in. x 60 in. (2413 mm x 1524 mm)
NPG 2561
Now there's not much better than strolling through Covent Garden let alone if this fantastic event was on. One day soon we will be able to go to the National Portrait Gallery and Covent Garden again. London Love!
We love our own commissioned Queen Elizabeth I artwork created by artist Dawn Pearcey. You can shop our beloved Queen Elizabeth I Collection here.
If you are in Vancouver, Canada this December 4-13, Fleurs de Ville Noel is running a Floral Trail, all outside along Alberni and Robson Street. A socially distanced event.
